Founding Spots
MythTapestry is being built in the open, and one hundred people get to use it while that happens. This page is what you are agreeing to if you take one of those spots — written to be read once and relied on afterwards.
The promise, first
Section titled “The promise, first”These terms will not change for anyone who has already claimed a spot.
Not “we don’t currently plan to change them”. They are recorded against your account on the day you claim, with the version you agreed to, and nothing later rewrites that. If we change the terms for people who come after you, yours are the ones you read here.
That is the whole point of the page. Everything below is a detail of it.
What a founding spot is
Section titled “What a founding spot is”There are one hundred spots. They are free, and while early access lasts you get everything: every feature, including the AI ones.
Once you have a spot, it is yours. There is nothing to keep up, nothing to renew, and no way to lose it by not using MythTapestry for a while.
What happens when MythTapestry launches
Section titled “What happens when MythTapestry launches”Two things, and only two.
The core stays free. Permanently. Building worlds, writing, entities and relationships, maps, timelines, calendars, the graph — all of it, at the limits below, for as long as MythTapestry exists. You will never be asked to pay to keep using the thing you built.
AI features stop, unless you subscribe. They cost real money per use, and early access is where we find out how much. At launch they switch off for founding accounts, and you can add them by subscribing like anyone else.
Everything you made with them stays. A summary written during early access is your text afterwards; nothing written by an AI feature is taken away when the feature is.
The founders’ price
Section titled “The founders’ price”If you do subscribe, you pay the founders’ price: €45 a year, against €90 for everybody else.
For the life of the subscription. Not a first-year rate that quietly becomes the standard one — as long as you keep it running, that is what it costs. If you cancel and come back later, you come back at the ordinary price, because the founders’ price belongs to a subscription rather than to an account.
What a founding account holds
Section titled “What a founding account holds”| Worlds | 2 |
| Entities per world | 1,500 each |
| Images, audio and maps | 1 GB |
These are the permanent, free limits — what you keep after launch without paying anything. They are deliberately real rather than a demo: 1,500 entities is a large world, and two of them is a series.
If you want more, the paid plans have more. You are never pushed onto one.
Taking your world out
Section titled “Taking your world out”You can export everything, at any time, on any plan — including one that has lapsed, and including the free founding account.
Everything means everything: your structure, every entity and connection, all your writing, your calendars and timeline, and your images and maps with the files themselves. One file, plain text where it can be, readable without MythTapestry running at all.
This is not a feature we might reprice. It is the answer to a fair question — what happens to my work if you disappear? — and the honest answer has to be “you leave with it”. See Taking Your World With You.
If a subscription lapses
Section titled “If a subscription lapses”Only relevant if you have subscribed; a founding account with no subscription is unaffected by any of this.
A failed payment is not a lapse. If a card expires or a charge bounces, nothing changes for fourteen days. That is long enough to notice, update a card over a weekend, and let a retry go through. We are not going to take your tools away over a payment error.
After that, or if you cancel, the account becomes read-only: you can read everything, and you can export everything, and you cannot write. Nothing is deleted. Subscribe again and it all works as before.
About AI
Section titled “About AI”Every AI feature is optional, and what is sent where is documented in full — see What Happens to Your Writing. The short version: your writing is not used to train anybody’s model, most of MythTapestry never sends it anywhere, and one AI feature runs entirely on our own machine.
Asking
Section titled “Asking”If anything here is unclear, or you want to know how it applies to you specifically, write to office@mythtapestry.com. A person answers.
MythTapestry is operated from Zagajškova ulica 6, 3000 Celje, Slovenia.
