AI Summaries
MythTapestry can generate a short summary of any scene, chapter, session, or other piece of writing — a quick recap you can scan instead of re-reading the whole thing. Nothing is summarised without your say-so. Even auto-summary is something you turn on explicitly in World Settings; otherwise nothing runs.
What a summary looks like
Section titled “What a summary looks like”When you trigger it, the AI reads the piece of writing and produces a few sentences covering the key beats: what happened, who was involved, where, and the details that matter. It’s meant to be the kind of recap you’d put at the top of a session brief or in a “previously on…” note for yourself.
When summaries get generated
Section titled “When summaries get generated”- Manually — open any scene, chapter, or session and click Generate Summary on the detail page. This is the default — nothing happens until you click.
- On save — if you’ve turned on auto-summary for the world, a fresh summary is generated each time you save the piece of writing. Useful for active drafts; turn it off if you’re doing many small edits and don’t want a generation on every save.
Where summaries help
Section titled “Where summaries help”- Browsing — scan the summary column in a chapter or session list and find the piece you’re after without opening each one
- Chat recall — the chatbot relies on summaries when you ask broad questions (“what’s happened to Aldric so far?”) so it doesn’t have to read every scene
- Session recaps — for TTRPG campaigns, the session summary doubles as your “previously on…” for the next session
